I can't believe it's already been 2 months since Harrison was born. We all seem to be settling into life together pretty well...though it will be more settled when he starts sleeping through the night. He is such a big boy, he is not waking up because he is necessarily hungry as much as he likes to check in and nurse back to sleep! Bad habits have started...but between my exhaustion and him being so cute (and persistent) they are hard to break! Oh well...we will get through it all just fine...maybe with a few bags under the eyes, but that's not much to complain about!
So on February 2nd Harrison had his 2 month check up...here are those stats:
Weight: 12# 7oz (BIG BOY! - That's the 75th percentile!)
Height: 24 1/4" (90th percentile)
Head: 41cm (70th percentile)
So he has gained nearly 5 pounds and 5 inches since birth...no wonder he eats all the time! He is wearing 3 month clothing and is in 1-2 diapers (which are getting tight!) Remember, Michael was wearing newborn diapers and clothes until he was 3 months old!
Everything else is going great. Michael loves his baby brother, but is completely facsinated by his big sister. I think she is his BFF! Sheniah is doing great...good grades and keeping very busy. Basketball season is about over and she just made the school soccer team! I am so proud of her.
Here are some pictures to enjoy...
Michael out for a bike ride with Daddy's Boston Red Sox hat on (yes, his head is big enough to wear an adult hat!)
What a grin!
Playing basketball in the neighbor's yard...I tell him all the time we don't live there but he doesn't seem to care all that much! Hope the neighbor's don't care either!
Rolling the dump truck from Santa all around the house.
The boys' first bath together. Neither boy was too sure about it...and luckily I had Sheniah there to help in case of a meltdown (and of course, to snap some pictures). Now we have all become pros at bathtime and both boys find it very enjoyable!
Trying to crawl under the bathroom door to get daddy!
The best way to get the toy you want is to crawl in the toybox yourself!
Swinging...
Another bathtime photo!
Harrison's new crib...he grew out of the cradle quite rapidly. The crib is set up in our room and fits perfectly at the foot of our bed. Hopefully this set up will work until he is sleeping through the night and we can have the boys share a room.
Checking out the mobile...
Finally, the funniest thing happened the other day. Michael still loves his bouncy seat and likes to use it as his own personal recliner. So Harrison was in the bouncy seat and Michael wanted it...he sat there staring at Harrison saying "Bye Bye" until David finally took Harrison out of the bouncy seat, laid him on the floor and put Michael in the bouncy seat. Here they are in that set up watching cartoons together...too cute!
