Swinging...

We finally got the boys a baby swing so they can enjoy swinging! They really love it, though Michael still prefers to climb up the climbing wall and push his cars down the slide and then tell us "Get it" so he can do it all over again!

Daddy and Michael enjoying the new swing...

What a smile!!

Harrison enjoyed the swing, too...

ooohhh...

what a cutie!

It was his first day to wear jeans, and of course the hand-me-down "Best Little Brother" shirt from Michael.
Still swinging the next day!
Michael got some new shoes that are cars and once he got use to them he thought they were pretty cool. Daddy must have thought they were pretty cool, too, since we have this close up of them!
Here is Michael rooting for snacks! It is a good shot of the new shoes and his little baseball cap!
Playing outside...
Harrison was pretty entertained!
Michael has just learned what an airplane sounds like and looks like, so here is a shot of him pointing at one saying "ai-plane"...it's very cute!
Cooking...
The following are two of my favorite recent shots. Sheniah bonding with the fatty boy...he really loves her and she is starting to enjoy him more, too.
A little drool in the mouth never hurt anyone...she's still smiling!

Of course, more videos!

This first one starts off a bit slow. Just prior to getting the camera, Michael was talking it up like crazy. After about the first 20 seconds or so he gets going again, and really hams it up! I was really trying to get him saying his new favorite phrase (especially used right after he throws his food on the floor) "Oh Gosh"...as you will see, I got a bit more than that!

This video is hilarious, too. Michael was entertaining himself with himself in the mirror. On this video you can hear him singing his "Bib on" song, because it was time for lunch.

Have a great week and we love you all!

Happy Days!

More pictures...and of course, another video!

First, Harrison napping on the boppy on the couch...

The boys in Michael's crib...

Very seriously checking out the new toy on the bumbo...

Happy boy enjoying some tummy time...

Time to read...

This was Harrison's first experience in the Johnny Jumper...Michael was pretty sure it was a swing and sat there gently rocking it back and forth saying to Harrison "Swing, swing"! It was so cute! Michael didn't feel very good on this day though, as you may be able to tell from the look on his face...

Here he is a little later being very pitiful in my lap...this was just after his nap and he came and crumbled up in a ball on me...it was so sad!!!

Later that night Aunt Cathy came over which was fun for everyone...here she is reading to Harrison (practicing for the arrival of little Riley...only 2 1/2 months to go!!!)

The next day Harrison was really getting the hang of the jumper. Here he is checking himself out in the mirror...this was very entertaining for him!

Blowing bubbles...

One of his favorite looks...sucking in the bottom lip...
A close up of the favorite look...
What a happy boy...

Finally the video...just before I got the camera he was really cracking up. He has been grinning and laughing and cooing for quite some time now, but this was the first time he really cracked up...he was practially belly laughing and slapping his knee it was so funny...of course, once the camera came out he got a bit shy, but the first few seconds are pretty classic.

I'll post more soon. I got some great pics today of the boys on their swingset and yesterday Sheniah got a great new haircut so I need to get a picture of that to post, too. Until then, hope everyone enjoys...

Family Fun Times!

A quick post to let everyone know how everything is going. Harrison is starting to get a bit of separation anxiety (normal at this age)...he gets really upset when he sees me leave the room...so blogging has been a bit difficult recently. But I have some good pics from the last couple of weeks.
Michael likes to play with anything Harrison is playing with...including the exersaucer! He will look back and forth from Harrison to me and say "Bye Bye" while waving at Harrison. It is his way of saying..."Okay kid, you've had your turn, now get outta' there because it's my turn now!"
But Harrison doesn't mind sharing...he's such a happy, fatty boy (still trying to come up with a better, less damaging to the self-esteem nickname)!
He is also very serious about playtime...David's birthday is today...Happy Birthday to the best husband and father in the world!
So this past Sunday we got together with Jackie, Alison and Brandon and the kids, Cathy and Sheniah brought her friend Liz to celebrate. It was a lot of fun, and as always, great to be with family.
Here's Maria, Wesley and Brandon...The birthday boy and Harrison...
Sheniah and Liz had a good time...

Then yesterday we decided to see what Harrison would think of the little rattles you velcro to his wrist. He was very interested and really wanted to eat them. Again, he takes his play time very seriously!
It was a nice day, so we all went outside to play. Of course, Michael still likes to eat dirt, flowers, and even sticks...
He's trying to get Harrison in on the diet, too!
The boys...Harrison is so in love with his big bro!Time for some baby wrestling...Michael was not too fond of the game...
Yes...Harrison is almost as big as Michael!
Finally, another video. Michael talks so much it is so cute to hear every little word he is learning. He hasn't been feeling great, but it is still pretty cute.

Hope everyone has a great week! I'll update whenever I can!

Michael is 18 Months!

Yes, there is a purpose (other than posting yet another video!!) to this post. Today Michael had his 18 month check-up. Here are his latest stat's:
Weight: 22# 8oz (50th percentile -he's soooo scrawny!!)
Height: 32 1/2" (75th percentile)
Head: 50 1/2cm (90th percentile)
I'm so excited because aside from him being tall and scrawny (the Dr is not worried, though), he seems to be starting to grow into his head. This is the first time that his dot on the head growth chart has gone down...not much, but a bit! I guess it is not a huge deal since we know his brain is fine...but it was still nice to see!
He was such a brave boy getting his shots, too. First they had to poke his little finger to test for lead poisoning, they will likely do this once a year...(gotta' love our REALLY old house!!!) He didn't cry, he just kept saying "All done, all done" while the nurse squeezed his poor finger! Then, the shots...he did cry, but once she was done he started saying "All done...bye bye" between sobs! It was so pitiful!
Harrison came along for the ride, and it was our first big outing together just the 3 of us. We walked to the Dr's (so glad it's just a few blocks away) and then Harrison just hung out in the stroller while Michael was tortured. I guess next month at Harrison's 4 month check-up I should bring Michael to be the spectator who is not being poked and prodded!
So, a few pictures from today...what a beautiful day...
and I suppose, since I am blogging and all, well, I may as well post a video. Not that I wanted to or anything...you're twisting my arm...haha
Enjoy...it is a better picture of the fatty boy chatting away and enjoying a little tummy time...

I am actually quite bummed because I have a great video of Michael talking (he even says "Grandma" on the video) on the other camera and I can't figure out how to post that one. I know, I do have other children other than Harrison that deserve to have video's on the blog too...I just have to get them to hold still long enough to capture on the digital camera, or I will keep working on figuring out how to download from the video camera.

Video Junkie!!!!

This is probably one of the shortest time frames between posts...all because I am a video junkie! Now everything is "hmm...maybe I should video that to post on the blog"! I was kind of sad it took me so long to figure this out, but it is probably a good thing. I'm sure if I had figured it out earlier there would be hours of Michael sleeping in the bili-lights, getting his first bath, eating, breathing! At least now the clips are pretty short and entertaining.
First, a couple of new pictures (not many have been taken since I last posted!)

Daddy and the boys...

Today during Harrison's afternoon nap Michael and I had some fun outside. He brought me a flower...and then decided to eat it! It's the thought that counts...
He's so cute and talking so much. He is at that point now where he repeats (or attempts to repeat) everything you say...at least the last word. He says so many things...flower, soil, outside ("side"), diaper, caca, pee pee, juice, please, peas, all done, more, snacks...I could go on and on. He also sings a song when he is ready to eat and dances (rocks back and forth) while singing "Bib on, bib on...eat". It is a portion of my made up song. He will now tell us (sometimes) if he has gone caca or potty (I know, the fact that I am thrilled by that...I'm such a mom) and today for both his naps he came to me and said "night night" to let me know he was ready.
What a cute boy!!!
Pushing around his dump truck...too cute. In the background is the wonderful swingset...it is way to hard to get pictures of him on it, though as he is a bit of a daredevil and I'm scared he'd go flying down the slide as I'm trying to get a picture!

Harrison was so pooped this afternoon he fell asleep on the floor under his "floor gym".

Finally...the videos. The sad thing is that I have many more, but I chose the two best ones.

Chatting With Daddy...

and my favorite...

Ab's of Steel...

I know, I know...I'm sure everyone was hoping it was gonna' be a shot of my ab's of steel...yeah, after 2 babies in less than 1 1/2 years...I don't even have ab's anymore! haha

Enjoy that thought!!!
