It has been an interesting few weeks here! First around February 20th, Harrison found the ability to rub his eyes with the back of his hand. It seems like something that isn't much of anything...I don't think I remember even noticing when Sheniah or Michael mastered that task...but he just does it all the time, and it is so cute. I guess that is why it is so noticable. Plus, with him likely being my last baby, well...maybe I am just paying attention to all the details and soaking it all in more?!
Then the whole family got a major sickness! Either Sheniah or Michael are to blame for bringing it home. They were both sick for about a week, and though it was awful to see them feeling down I was very pleased that it hadn't passed to me, David or Harrison. Then, out of nowhere it got the rest of us! After a couple of days of suffering through it I took the boys to the Dr. on March 2nd.
First, their stats:
Michael weighed 22# 13oz
Harrison weighed 13# 10oz
Michael had an ear infection and bronchitis and Harrison had an ear infection and RSV. The Dr. said it was likely we all had RSV, which he said is like the common cold times 10 (it felt like about times 100). He said it was mainly concerning in the little guys as it affects their respiratory system. He was pleased that Harrison wasn't wheezing and prescribed them both an antibiotic for the ears. He said to let them know if Harrison started wheezing and we would likely start breathing treatments.
The next day, March 3, Harrison started wheezing. We went back to the Dr. and he decided we needed to start breathing treatments. The funny part of this story is that at that appointment (24 hours after the last), Harrison weighed 13# 14oz...I think he's eating pretty good!
Harrison quickly started improving with his wheezing and seems all back to normal now. Michael is slowly recovering from the ear infection and we started him on ear drops yesterday to try to help speed up the process. Sheniah is feeling much better and continues to be busy with school and all her activities. David is working like crazy and feeling better, too. I'm just tired!
Another couple of milestones were achieved during this time period. First, on March 5 Harrison rolled over from his tummy to his back! It was so exciting and I even got it on video (the second time he did it) and I will continue to try to figure out how to post videos. Next, today March 12 Harrison rolled from his back to his tummy! This is much more difficult for him to do and caused more frustration for him, but he finally did it! Later when Sheniah gets home from school we will weigh and measure him and I will post that info on the next posting.
Finally, we got a terrible computer virus and were forced to get a new computer. Ugh! Anyway, his is significant because at this point I cannot get my old camera to communicate with the new computer. Fortunately I did have some pictures already loaded on my removable hard drive before the crash...but they are a bit old and I have a lot of new ones still to download. Hopefully I can figure it out soon.
So here are the most recent ones I do have access to...
GOOOOO DEACS!!!
