Play Times!

We have had more fun times in the last couple of weeks. The boys are growing so fast, and every day they seem to enjoy each other even more. Now that Harrison is so mobile, Michael has realized that he is a real little person...not a "blob"...and a great playmate! It's too cute!
Riley and Cathy came for a visit. He is getting so big, it is unbelievable that a few short months ago Harrison was that size and that helpless. Now it's fun to think that in a few more short months my boys will have another great playmate!

Riley and Harrison, still somewhat ambivalent about each other!
The three boys...little stairsteps!
Playing in the blow-up car...too fun!
Big grin...actually, I think my ears are still ringing from the scream that accompanied the grin!
Happy boy...every picture of him is with a soaked shirt, though! He's a drooly boy!
More fun...
"Wanna' ride, lil' bro??"
The boys in the morning, our usual routine...Harrison gets up and eats, then Michael wakes up and the boys play together in Michael's crib while I fix breakfast!
Harrison is so big and so mobile, he has just figured out how to get in Michael's "lounge" chair. He is about 1 inch away from being able to use it to climb onto the couch...danger! In this picture he actually figured out how to turn around and sit in the chair...quite a feat! He most often falls out the side of it...good thing it is only 2" off the floor and we have a cushy rug for the landing!
Despite all the falls and bumps on the head, he is such a happy boy!
Maria and Wesley and Alison came over a couple of days ago for a visit. The kids had a great time in the yard on the boys' swingset from Grandma.
Maria, the little momma, with Michael...
Wesley and Harrison "riding" around the patio...Harrison is still working on that whole drinking from a cup thing!
Michael and Wesley...
Maria and Wesley sliding down...
Then Michael decided it was time to get the yard done...he is his father's son, what can I say?!?!
Harrison got to enjoy his first bit of "real" food the other night. I've given him corn cobs (with no corn on them) and rib bones (with no meat on them) but the other night he was very intrigued by Michael's peas, so I thought "What the heck"...he was very pleased by the peas!
That night we had a HUGE storm...something like 6-8"/hour of rain for just under 2 hours...our patio looked like a swimming pool!
Yesterday, July 24 I found that Harrison has gotten his 5th tooth! Between him pulling up on furniture and nearing being a "walker" and all the teeth the child has, plus his size...we are pretty sure we missed a couple of months and he is really older than we think he is!
Finally, Harrison has figured out that it is quite beneficial to his desire to eat new things to follow his brother around the house and he will surely drop something. The most effective time for him to scavenge is when Michael is eating. The other morning he got 1/2 a sausage link (I had to pry out of his jaw), this morning it was a peanut butter cracker (hope he's not allergic to peanuts), and at lunchtime today it was peas on the floor. The cats use to clean up after Michael's messes, but now that they have been banished outside it is nice that Harrison is picking up the slack for me!
"SCORE!!! Peas, please!"
And of course, couldn't be a blog update without more videos!
The boys playing...Michael throwing toys out to/at Harrison, and saying "Sorry" because he knows he is hitting Harrison with them!

More playing...peek-a-boo in the car!

That's it for now. Love to everyone!

Maria's 5th Birthday!

It's been another couple of crazy, busy weeks here! I need to start updating more frequently so I don't have so many pictures and videos to bombard the site with...but that is easier said than done with 2 boys under 2 (oohh...I can only say that for 6 more weeks!)
So here are the latest pictures.
This picture looks so much like Michael to me!
Harrison still is not allowed to do anything without Michael doing it, too! Here is Michael "enjoying" the jumper, and Harrison's juice!

Maria is a "little mommy" - she enjoyed Michael and Wesley when they were babies, but she REALLY loves Harrison!
Butt Cracks...couldn't help it!
Harrison enjoying Michael's blow-up car.
Michael with a mouth FULL of grapes!
Ahhh...in't he cute?!?!
The boys enjoying a (rare) mild summer afternoon outside.
Maria and Michael riding the Gator at Yaya's house.
Harrison loves to eat and is soooo over baby food. He wants whatever you've got! Here he is enjoying a rib bone!
He has been pulling up and standing on things for a couple of weeks now. He also just started standing up on the walker and pushing it around from the outside. He is so mobile...poor Michael has very few "safe" zones anymore where Harrison can't get to him, or more importantly, his toys!
"Look, momma...one hand!"
Playing the piano together. They need their big sister to come home and teach them how to play!
Hellllooooo!!
Happy boy!
Michael visiting great-Papou.
Harrison got lot's of love from Lafata.
And from great-Papou, too!
Brushing the teeth in the bath!
Playing the keyboard.
Harrison and I went to visit Cathy and Riley last week. He is getting so big and he is so cute! Harrison REALLY wants to play with him!
The boys...
Harrison pushing the walker and Michael climbing on the table messing up the folded laundry!
Harrison pulling up on their little table.
On July 9th was Maria's official birthday and we were all going to dinner that evening to celebrate. That afternoon, the boys started not feeling well. Michael had a raging fever and Harrison just seemed really tired. So, I gave them tylenol and crossed my fingers. It was not a good night! But we went to dinner anyway.
The boys seemed to do okay, just a little crabby.
Everyone had a good time...
especially Maria, the birthday princess...
Harrison had fun bouncing on Myra's lap...
And Maria really liked her ice cream and candle!
So later that night the boys were really not feeling well. We put them to bed, and they tag-teamed me all night so I got less than 2 hours of sleep...lot's of FUN!!! I took them to the doctor on the 10th...here are their stats:
Michael's Weight - 24# (I think he has plateau'd here and is stuck!)
Harrison's weight - 18# 14oz (still a little fatty boy!)
So, Michael had strep throat and Harrison had an ear infection. They are both on antibiotics now and seem to be feeling better - they are at least sleeping now!

Harrison standing on something else...when did my house become "Toys R US"???
On July 11 was Maria's birthday party. The boys were feeling better and on medication, and according to the dr no longer contagious...so we all went to the party. It was a lot of fun!
Michael enjoyed picking clover flowers for me!
Maria and all her friends had a great time...
Michael enjoyed the fire truck...
There was an egg toss...
And Maria was quite devastated when she took an egg right to the face!
There was a tug of war...Maria's team won!
The boys had a good time.
The cake was delicious, and as usual, a beautiful creation by Jackie and Alison.
Maria being a "big sister" to Wesley!

Michael chasing Maria in the Gator...
Michael got some superstar glasses! He is very incognito!
Harrison beginning to pull up on the walking car...
Standing and walking with the walking car...
AND...falling with the walking car. We have had a few more bumps and bruises than normal lately!
Michael giving his baby brother a good kiss in the bath...they are getting so cute!
Michael likes showing Harrison proper hygiene...

But Harrison likes to do it himself...
And of course...more videos...
Michael talking...

The boys playing...

Harrison saying "momma"! My first child to say that before dada...very exciting!

And Michael talking on the phone.

Now I'm off to take care of the busy boys! Love to all...
