Play Times!

We have had more fun times in the last couple of weeks. The boys are growing so fast, and every day they seem to enjoy each other even more. Now that Harrison is so mobile, Michael has realized that he is a real little person...not a "blob"...and a great playmate! It's too cute!
Riley and Cathy came for a visit. He is getting so big, it is unbelievable that a few short months ago Harrison was that size and that helpless. Now it's fun to think that in a few more short months my boys will have another great playmate!

Riley and Harrison, still somewhat ambivalent about each other!
The three boys...little stairsteps!
Playing in the blow-up car...too fun!
Big grin...actually, I think my ears are still ringing from the scream that accompanied the grin!
Happy boy...every picture of him is with a soaked shirt, though! He's a drooly boy!
More fun...
"Wanna' ride, lil' bro??"
The boys in the morning, our usual routine...Harrison gets up and eats, then Michael wakes up and the boys play together in Michael's crib while I fix breakfast!
Harrison is so big and so mobile, he has just figured out how to get in Michael's "lounge" chair. He is about 1 inch away from being able to use it to climb onto the couch...danger! In this picture he actually figured out how to turn around and sit in the chair...quite a feat! He most often falls out the side of it...good thing it is only 2" off the floor and we have a cushy rug for the landing!
Despite all the falls and bumps on the head, he is such a happy boy!
Maria and Wesley and Alison came over a couple of days ago for a visit. The kids had a great time in the yard on the boys' swingset from Grandma.
Maria, the little momma, with Michael...
Wesley and Harrison "riding" around the patio...Harrison is still working on that whole drinking from a cup thing!
Michael and Wesley...
Maria and Wesley sliding down...
Then Michael decided it was time to get the yard done...he is his father's son, what can I say?!?!
Harrison got to enjoy his first bit of "real" food the other night. I've given him corn cobs (with no corn on them) and rib bones (with no meat on them) but the other night he was very intrigued by Michael's peas, so I thought "What the heck"...he was very pleased by the peas!
That night we had a HUGE storm...something like 6-8"/hour of rain for just under 2 hours...our patio looked like a swimming pool!
Yesterday, July 24 I found that Harrison has gotten his 5th tooth! Between him pulling up on furniture and nearing being a "walker" and all the teeth the child has, plus his size...we are pretty sure we missed a couple of months and he is really older than we think he is!
Finally, Harrison has figured out that it is quite beneficial to his desire to eat new things to follow his brother around the house and he will surely drop something. The most effective time for him to scavenge is when Michael is eating. The other morning he got 1/2 a sausage link (I had to pry out of his jaw), this morning it was a peanut butter cracker (hope he's not allergic to peanuts), and at lunchtime today it was peas on the floor. The cats use to clean up after Michael's messes, but now that they have been banished outside it is nice that Harrison is picking up the slack for me!
"SCORE!!! Peas, please!"
And of course, couldn't be a blog update without more videos!
The boys playing...Michael throwing toys out to/at Harrison, and saying "Sorry" because he knows he is hitting Harrison with them!

More playing...peek-a-boo in the car!

That's it for now. Love to everyone!
