Orlando & Pumpkin Patch

I finally got the pictures from Sheniah's camera from her trip to Orlando. Unfortunately, for some reason I can't move pictures around after I upload them so...

Harrison did NOT go to Orlando with his big sister! This is after the pumpkin patch and was meant to appear later in the posting, but oh well!!!
Here is about the only picture of Orlando/the ocean Sheniah got! She is such a dork...she forgot her camera charger here and took so many self portraits and pictures with friends on the way there that her camera was dead after only about 1 hour in Orlando! Oh well...I will discuss with her the importance of bringing along the charger and the handy dandy disposable camera she could have bought about anywhere for about $5 to take additional "old fashioned - gotta' get 'em developed" pictures!

This is what 99% of the pictures look like from her trip!

Ooohh...I found another one of the ocean! I think that may be Kennedy Space Center there in the VERY far distance!

The astronaut on the outside of the Kennedy Space Center (this is the only picture of the Space Center we got!!!!)
Another one of her and some friends...

This past weekend we went to the Riverbend Farms Pumpkin Patch, and it was a great time! The kids loved all the sights and things there were to do.

Me and my cute kiddos!

Sheniah took this picture...normally I wouldn't post a "rear view" shot of myself (hehe) but I thought it was a beautiful picture...she may have a future in photography!

Michael spent the day tripping over pumpkin vines!

Another pretty picture Sheniah took of an entire field of sunflower's.

Harrison ran around a bit, too!

Sheniah had fun helping the boys and playing with them!
Goats!
Buffalo!

Silo slides!
Michael went down the slide with daddy...

and Harrison got to go with Nonnie...

They had a blast!
Here is the big tractor that took us to the actual pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins.

My family...

Heading back to the tractor after finding our perfect pumpkins. Sheniah got a medium sized one for herself, Michael helped find Harrison a little one and then he was very excited to find........................a banana!!! haha Actually, I think it is a squash, but when he saw it he thought it was a giant banana and he HAD to have the "nana"!!!! So, we got 1 large (family), 1 medium, 1 baby pumpkin and a giant banana for halloween! I wonder how we'll carve the banana...???

Checking out the prospects...

Sheniah wanted to take home this giant pumpkin...but I think it was made of steel or something!

Giant cow!

This would be where the picture of Harrison was suppose to be! The boys were exhausted...this was the scene less than 5 minutes after we got in the car...and anyone who knows Michael and how he does NOT sleep in the car knows he must have been VERY pooped!

What a cutie in the overalls!
Another picture out of order...ooops!

Thanks, Grandma for the halloween buckets!

So much fun!

They both love their little buckets!
"Hmmm...I think I'll put some trains in my bucket, how 'bout you?" hehe

Only one video this post. Our little routine is that when Michael wakes up from overnight or a nap and Harrison is awake we open the door and send Harrison in to greet Michael. The boys really love this and a few weeks ago Michael started saying "Morning, Harrison" every time Harrison would come waddling into his room. I got it on video...it is sort of faint and hard to hear, but it is there and too cute!

Will post again soon...

Fun Days...

Michael is getting much better, and I don't think there will be any long term damage to his teeth. His gums even look like they are not as recessed as they were - maybe since the swelling has gone down they have gone back more into place.
Tomorrow we are off to a pumpkin patch to get our Halloween pumpkins. It will be a lot of fun. So I wanted to get an update done before that. I am still working on getting Sheniah to upload the few pictures she has from her Orlando trip. Maybe that will be a post tomorrow...
Bedtime stories...
Riding his "Handy Hauler" - it is NOT made for riding!

But he enjoyed it!

Patiently (haha) awaiting the pigs in a blanket I made the other day for lunch.

Yes...this baby likes to eat dirt/acorns/grass just like his big brother...BOYS!!!

Harrison found the few tomatoes that Michael hadn't gotten to!

What a cutie!
Cheese!

Stalking the cat!

Blurry...but look at those big blue eyes!

Bumps on the head! Why babies SHOULDN'T walk at 9 1/2 months old!

But he's really good at it...even able to carry things while walking!

Bonding with Africa...
She fell in love with him this day and was basically "herding" him to keep him near her!
He loved it!
Sheniah had a school dance last night for Halloween. We improvised at the last minute and made her a fireman...gotta' love her firehose!!! hehe She's so cute!

And last but not least, another video! This is Harrison recognizing where things are...very cute. He is even trying to say "ball"...

That is it for tonight!

Michael Update

A quick update to let everyone know about Michael's visit to the pediatric dentist today.
Basically, the dr. said it's like he skinned his knee, except it was his gums (ouch!)...Two of his teeth are slightly lose, but the blood supply to them still seems to be in tact so they should heal fine. However, the dr. said it could take 2 or more weeks for the blood flow to decide whether or not it is permanently damaged, so we will have to go back for a recheck next month to make sure the teeth are still white and healing well. He said the gums have a great blood supply (as we discovered on Saturday!) so they should heal pretty quickly. The gums are not so good, though, at rejuvenating themselves and so they will always be receded from his teeth as they are now. There was no evidence of damage to the jaw bone.
So, all in all it was pretty good. Michael was very traumatized (I did pretty good until the dr. pulled out a gauze pad and started rubbing it all over the teeth and bloody gums and then I thought I was going to lose it too and jump over the chair and strangle him!!!) They made it all better, though, by offering Michael a new little school bus and firetruck to play with!
Will try to post soon about Sheniah's trip - FYI - her camera died the first day so I don't think there are many pictures of the trip!

Michael's 1st ER Visit

I'll start with...he's fine! And before I get on to the story, a few pictures first...
The boys...this may have been David's first day at his new job (yippee...a new job that he really seems to love so far!) and they may have been waiting for him to come home.

Dinner with Papou and Lafata at the fantastic Greek Isles.

Harrison enjoying a lamb chop (another Greek boy!)
Michael didn't want to eat, so he and David stood outside the restaurant looking at the light rail trains most of the night!
Aunt Cathy and Riley came for a visit last week after Riley's 4 month check up. I don't think Cathy is feeding him enough - he weighed 18 1/2#!!!! I thought Harrison was a fatty boy!!! hehe He is too adorable, fat rolls galore! Here he is borrowing one of Harrison's hats, and Harrison wanting it back!
What a cutie!

A rare moment where Sheniah was home with the family! Here is a self portrait, very good picture of her - Michael is a little lost, though!
The boys playing in the tunnel...
Harrison looking naughty as ever!
Playing together in the tunnel.
Reading with daddy.
Michael enjoying the last of the tomatoes!
Alison and the kids came over for a visit this weekend. Sheniah was gone to Orlando with the student council (which I will post about when I hear from her how it went!). As soon as the Alison got here, Wesley wanted to hold Harrison. Amazingly enough, Harrison let him, and seemed to enjoy it!

Maria wanted in on the action, too!
The kids had a great time together.
We all played outside, even though it was cold.
Harrison practiced walking in shoes on uneven terrain!
He's on the go!
The kiddos!

Harrison scaling the wall trying to get to the big kids on the swingset.

We made a "train" of bikes and the boys really enjoyed that, too!
They liked it when Maria pushed them around the yard.
Maria even got a push from Michael!
It was such a fun day. The kids were having a blast and it was fun to hang out with Alison. They were going to stay for dinner, so I was inside fixing the tacos and preparing Harrison's dinner. David came inside for a few moments to check and see if I needed help. The next thing I know, I hear the back door fly open and a blood-curdling scream that I knew was Michael. I dropped the lettuce in the sink and turned to run down the hall...when I looked up I see Alison rushing into the kitchen with Michael in her arms and blood is pouring down his chin. Ugh - it was terrifying. I thought maybe he had hit his nose, so I took him from her as she described what had happened. Maria was swinging and Michael ran out in front of her, catching either her knee or foot in the mouth.
So, I tried to calm him down (and myself!) and clean it up to see what the damage was. There was a pretty hefty laceration to his lip and his gums were also bleeding. SO - off to the ER (Swine flu infestation, anyone~~!!!!) we went with him screaming the whole way (fortunately we are only about 1 1/2 blocks from the hospital!
Long story somewhat short, the ER doc said there was no need for stitches but she was concerned about possible tooth damage. We are off to see a pediatric dentist tomorrow to make sure his teeth/gums/jaw bone did not suffer any permanent damage.

So, here is a picture of Michael's first big boo boo!
A few hours after it happened...
It bled a bit overnight...

And swelled like crazy...poor little guy!

So of course Aunt Alison feels terribly guilty. I told her it was just the first of likely many ER visits for one of our children caused by the other! I can imagine how she feels though because as much as we don't blame her at all, I secretly am happy it was her kid who hurt mine first so I won't have to feel quite as guilty when the shoe is on the other foot!
Now onto videos...
Harrison really has this whole walking thing figured out! Here he is on October 9 (still looking somewhat like a zombie!)
And here is more walking and the boys playing...

Here is Harrison standing and then walking - October 12.

And finally, this one has nothing to do with Harrison walking but it is just cute! It is all 3 of my kids (which rarely happens since Sheniah is so busy!) playing and being really loud together...

So that is it for now. I will try to get pictures from Sheniah's camera uploaded so everyone can see what she did on her trip to Orlando. She was tired this morning when I picked her up (at 7am after riding in the bus since 11pm last night) but said she had a great time! I can't wait to hear all about it!
