Tea Parties and Parades!

Yup...the title is "Tea Parties"...and I'm not talking about my daughter having one! Michael watches a show on tv and has become quite the little tea party host! He's so funny!
The first tea party! Of course, they are still boys and they have blocks and race cars at the tea party!

The lighting of the Christmas tree in Albemarle was a lot of fun. Here the boys are enjoying a snack...
The tree through the crowd...
Harrison got lot's of love from his big cousin's!
He enjoyed every moment of it!
Michael? Well, we can just say he didn't enjoy EVERY moment of the night!

Maria enjoyed talking to Mrs. Claus...
Wesley didn't want much to do with Santa!
Harrison was a little uncertain of the bearded guy, too!
Michael actually did pretty well with Santa, though!
So every year the Christmas parade lines up outside our house. The last few years (with babies) we have just watched from the warmth of the house. This year I decided the boys were going to experience the real parade (Sheniah was off with a friend for the weekend). So, usually there is some great, fascinating float outside our house and all morning I was thinking about how when it pulled up outside our house the boys would be so interested in it that I could get myself ready while they were distracted. Much to my dismay, this was what pulled up outside the house! Not really "entertaining" for the boys, as I had hoped!
But, we finally got ready and off we went!
The boys loved it!
Michael was so excited about all the firetrucks and ambulances!
Harrison was just overall fascinated!
We saw lot's of fun things...big wheel trucks with Christmas trees in the back...
To little bitty cars with santa hats on! These were my favorite!
This was the best of all...convertible, santa hat, pulling a boat my 11 month old would be too big to ride in! Too cute!
And then we had more tea parties! This time Spongebob and the monkey got to come along, too!
But then, the football wanted to come, so Spongebob had to leave! (My little ocd 2 year old...he even turned the football so it's face was toward the table!)

Then it was time for the most special tea party of all...the MAN tea party...daddy came and brought coffee and trucks! That's my boys!

Videos...
Harrison snoring in the highchair!

The boys getting a bath and the sweetest "I love you, Harrison"!

And last but not least, Harrison has figured out the climbing and sliding down the slide. It is just too bad it is winter because they both LOVE to be outside playing on the swingset!

Of course, I have more pictures and videos from the last few days but those will have to wait. I am finally off to bed after a long (as usual!) day/weekend/month!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Busy-Ness...

As usual, it has been crazy busy here! Between the children and starting up a new business (whew, what a headache that is!) there just never seems to be a free moment! So now here it is, 11:45pm and I am finally doing an update!
In the last couple of weeks Harrison turned 11 months old and here are his stats:
Weight: 22#
Height: 30"
He has also started trying out lot's of new things and words. He can now say "Mama" "Dada" "Muh" (which means Michael) "Baa" (bath) "Buh" (bye) "Bah" (ball) - so many words start with a "B"! He also says "Hi" and waves, "Yeah" and claps, "Yayayaya", "Vroom" while running a car along the floor or table, and today he said "Nana" when I grabbed a banana for his snack. Too cute. He also understands everything we say, and throws temper tantrums like a two-year-old!
Tonight we went to Albemarle to see the Lighting of the Christmas Tree with Yaya, Alison, Brandon, Wesley and Maria. I haven't downloaded those pictures yet, though...I knew I had enough to get to from the last few weeks! These are also out of order, but I am too tired to fix it all!
So, here are some pictures and a couple of videos.

Harrison in his Broncos gear (thanks, Grandma!) sleeping in the high chair. I have been desperately trying to get the boys to take one nap a day at the same time so I can, oh, you know, shower or use the restroom, or just relax! Harrison may not be quite ready, though! As is apparent from these pictures and the video at the end of this post! Oh well! It was worth a shot!

The boys patiently (haha) awaiting lunch!
Michael riding his chair like a horsey!

Hurricane Ida decided to sit on top of us for about a week and dump rain every day. Finally it cleared up, dried up (some) and we were able to play outside...the boys were completely stir crazy. The hurricane also shook nearly every leaf out of a 5 mile radius into our yard, so the boys had LOTS of fun helping daddy rake the leaves up!

The boys love the swingset! Harrison has really mastered the climbing part. He still has no depth perception, though, so it is quite dangerous. A few days ago, in fact, I got the boys outside and ran in to get their juices. I was gone less than 2 minutes. I came back outside to watch Harrison walk off the back of the platform...heart dropped...fortunately, he landed right on the slide and slid down, giggling the whole way! The little daredevil!
He also loves to swing and since we only have one baby swing (and Michael doesn't share well sometimes!) Harrison has figured out how to swing himself on the big swing!
Sometimes he does a nose-dive, though! Good thing he is so tough!

Right back at it!
Sometimes I put them both in the baby swing together! That is fun and a good way to have both of them immobile (so less likely to get injured or into trouble) for a couple of minutes!

Scavengers!

Victory is sweet! (and probably rotten, as long as it's probably been sitting there on the ground!)
Yummy!

Bumps and bruises and rotten green tomatoes! That's my baby!
Harrison probably getting yelled at for something by his big brother!
Climbing with daddy and Michael.

Sliding after the big bro!

Waving and saying "hey"...I'm pretty sure with an acorn in his mouth!

This video cracked me up because he is just kind of wandering around, looking for something to do. Michael was napping, so Harrison just didn't know what to do with himself!

This one is hilarious. Michael found a new utensil to eat peas with. The greatest part of it...it's edible, too!

Michael in the jumper. Yup...that's not a typo...here is video of Michael in the jumper! What a dork!

That will have to be it for tonight! I am exhausted and the boys will be up before I know it. Will try to post more tomorrow.
