All About Sheniah!!!

My first born is hardly ever home, and even though she loves taking self-portraits of herself and friends she is becoming more and more difficult to get pictures of here at home. However, she has had an eventful last week so I actually got some pictures of her! Very exciting!
She is such a great kid, involved in wonderful things. She recently made A/B honor roll and has been taking a lot of student council trips this year. Also, she is in the choir at school and recently made "All County". This is a festival our County has each year to celebrate the arts. It is a tough competition to get into, each middle school in the county can choose about 10-15 participants out of all the kids who try out. Sheniah was one chosen, out of more than 35 students from her school who auditioned! It was a beautiful concert...I am so proud of her!

At the bottom of this post are a few videos from the concert.
Next, the time finally came for Sheniah's braces to come off. Here is her before picture!
And the after pictures are, of course, self-portraits! I cannot believe how different she looks, so grown up and beautiful! Her teeth are incredibly white and straight...they look great...she took really good care of them the last 2 years! Great Job!!

I have to scan in the pictures from the orthodontist to get the full appreciation of the change in her teeth and how much she has grown up! I will try to post that in the next posting.

Here are the concert videos...it was so wonderful!
The videos are really long...usually at her normal concerts I just take the first minute of a song or so...but these kids sounded so amazing I couldn't stop recording!

That's it for now...a lot has been going on around here, too, but now I am off to pick up Sheniah and her friend from an Arbor Day celebration at the park...and then I am at the whim of two 14 year-old girls so who knows when I will get another moment to update! Love to all!

Lil B' Came to Play!

Finally, I was able to get some of the hundreds (I jest, not...literally hundreds!) of pictures I took during my brother and Lil B's visit earlier this month...WHOO HOO!!!!
Unfortunately, it is now almost midnight and I am exhausted so...no fun stories or cute little notes about how stinkin' cute our kids are or how much fun Sheniah had with her little cousin or what a great dad my big bro turned out to be...just enjoy the pictures! I will try to update with some stories soon!

Love to all...night night!
