The Meanies!

I just had to post this video really quick, because it is too funny and shows what mean parents we are - this about beats the pout! Here is the background...

Michael has a picture book that he loves and he and daddy read every night. Several nights ago he was reading and helping daddy turn the page and he accidentally tore the page. He was devastated, but we assured him that he was not in trouble and that daddy would fix it. He went to bed that night saying "Daddy, fit it?" It was cute and pitiful. So, there is a grocery store scene in the book, and Michael has started getting very interested and good at identifying all the different produce in the store aisle's. David had not had a chance to fix the book yet, so we thought we would see what Michael said about the torn page a few days after the "incident"...

I know, we are mean! But you know what...either you have or will do mean things to your children too for comic relief from time to time! It is only natural!

Now we are just preparing for Michael's birthday party this Saturday. I can't believe he will be 2 years old tomorrow! He is getting so big and growing up so fast...he says 4 and 5 word phrases and sentences now (although one of our favorite's is still "No Tanks" aka: thanks). He loves to color, swing, climb on things and play with his trains and trucks. He has hit the terrible two's and is throwing temper tantrums, whining, and telling Harrison "MINE" about everything! He won't share toys with Harrison, but gives him his milk or juice when they go for walks. He will give Harrison kisses, but wipes the drool and says "Harrison's a gross". He idolizes his big sister, who has officially been dubbed "Nonnie" and they have a lot of special, fun times together. He is adorable, sweet, kind and wonderful...
